On 16 October 2024, the American Academy of Project Management (AAPM) Hong Kong Chapter hosted an engaging CPD session titled "Payment Disputes in Construction: Exploring the Security of Payment Bill in Hong Kong." The event attracted professionals across the construction industry eager to explore the impact of this newly introduced legislation on payment practices and dispute resolution.

The session delves into the details of the Bill, a landmark development designed to address chronic payment issues in the construction industry. Our esteemed speakers, Mr Justin Lo, Partner and Ms Vivian Wong, Counsel from Cocking & Co LLP, walked participants through the key provisions of the Bill, emphasizing its significance in promoting timely payments and minimizing disputes among contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
